Don't try this at home boys and girls.....

I'm sure almost every smoker can tell a story or two about how they came close to a near catastrophe with their lit cigarette. Well one happened to me today. I had a lit cigarette in my hand and I was getting up and I bumped it into the furniture and the lit ashes fell on this big plushy rug that is in the room. Of course I stomped it out but now I have to clean the "evidence" away.

I have burned a couple of holes in some of my clothing but at least I can say that I haven't fell asleep while smoking. I have seen the results of what can happen with that from watching the news!

Every time this happens to me it makes me more careful with my cigarettes when they are lit. Don't want a fire!

I'm Not The Only One!

I was at my favorite cigarette store (my favorite because it has the cheapest cigarette prices) buying something other than cigarettes when a woman came and bought a pack of cigarettes. She paid for them with a whole lot of change! My thoughts drifted back to when I paid for my cigarettes with a whole lot of change simply because I didn't have anything else at the time. However her story was a little bit different than my "need cigarettes and I'll pay for it with all the coins that I can muster" story. She said that she kept all her loose change and when she felt like getting some cigarettes she used that change to buy them. This is a whole lot different from the reason why I used change to buy my cigarettes. Mine was more of a "desparate to have enough change to buy cigarettes" story.

So if you are a smoker and you think that its demeaning or embarrasing to pay for cigarettes with change you should know that there are people out there that pay for their cigarettes with change.

When did I start smoking?

When did I start smoking? A long, long, long time ago! I started smoking back in junior high school - almost 20 years ago! If my memory serves me correctly I actually started smoking in the school's bathroom along with the other students. That is a lot of years to be smoking! Not once have I ever thought about quitting! I have been sick to the point where I couldn't smoke but as I got better I resumed the smoking!

Buying a pack of cigarettes is getting more and more expensive but I still continue to smoke! Since I work at home I don't have a problem with the "smoking in the workplace" thing since my home is my workplace.
